ClicSleep 1.2
----------
Copyright Benjamin Herrenschmidt, 26 dec. 1992
ClicSleep is FreeWare. You can distribute it to everyone.
(In fact, you MUST ! distribute it to everyone). The only
restrictions are: First you must keep this file and the cdev
together, and secondly you can't distribute it in a commercial
package without my explicit agreement.
ClicSleep is a Control Panel (cdev) which works only on
macintoshes with the Power Manager (i.e. Macintosh Portable
and PowerBooks). It will put your machine to sleep when you
click in one of the screen's corners. You can choose which corner
and disable ClicSleep with the control panel.
The ClicSleep allows you to disable the NetWork alert,
set the size of the "sensible" rectangle (I use 2), and set the modifier
keys.
Note: It can be used only to disable NetWork alert by setting corner to "Off",
"Disable Network Alert" ON and selecting "Always".
In order for ClicSleep to work, it must be installed in your
System's control Panel folder and be loaded at Startup.
If something prevents ClicSleep from loading, the Control Panel won't
open.
ClicSleep requires system 7.0 (no system 6 !)

History:
-------
• 22 oct. 92 : Version 1.0
This is the first released version
• 23 oct. 92: Version 1.0.1
Minor bug fixes. The Control Panel now checks for the presence of
the power Manager.
Added color icons for the Finder (and Gray scales capable PowerBooks)
• 15 nov. 92: Version 1.1
Some bug fixes : With previous versions, when you put the mac to sleep by a
clic resulting in a context switch (application switch), the mac sometimes
go to sleep again just after wake-up. This is fixed.
You can now choose modifier keys to use with the clic.
You can now set the size of the sensible rectangle (previous version needed
that you clic exactly on the pixel in the corner).
This version has a better error checking on non-portable computers.
• 26 dec. 92: Version 1.2
This version will beep twice at startup if something prevents ClicSleep from
loading its patch code (file may be damaged). In this cas you chould remove it
from your System folder and reboot. (Some of the code may crash).
Version 1.2 uses a new way of disabling Network Alert. You can now choose
from the cdev if you want this alert to be disabled all the time (even when using
Finder's Sleep command) or only with ClicSleep (old way).
this new technique should be more compatible with future release of the system.
